I thought that was an odd question to someone that walks with a cane and could be seen walking from the restroom to the gate which would have been a quick one minute jaunt for me 5 years ago but took at least ten minutes from the restroom to the gate. I was trying to figure out in my head how I was going to attempt this long walk while other travelers would have been quickly boarding ahead of me. This was my first of many trips to China to see family but will definitely be my last trip with Hainan. I was extremely disappointed in the way I was treated - is this the way all passengers with disabilities are treated?"

I didn't receive the necessary information and even after I was told about it after calling an employee of Korean Air, I didn't work. The person I spoke with on telephon herself didn't understand, why the system didn't accept my attempt to check in online. That was quite bothersome since I could get a boarding ticket for my Korean Air flight beforehand. Normally I would have to leave the transit area, line up to check in, receive the ticket, go through all check-ups again and go to the gate of departure. My flight left just 2 hours after arriving in Beijing and at airports as big as Beijing, that could have been very close to not being able to make it in time."

That also had many people, most from the same flight. It was unpleasant."

Connecting through China without a visa results in a lot of raised eyebrows. Don't be surprised if you find yourself frequent pulled aside in security checks and spend upwards of ten minutes trying to get sorted out. Chinese airports are different than western ones. Trying to come to terms to this wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that China bans google, so there isn't any easy way to check online to understand how they operate. Generally just not very welcoming."

There was absolutely NO EFFORT by China Southern to assist in getting us to our gate in time. I ended running through the terminal to get to the gate about 8 minutes before departure only to be denied boarding by the unknowledgeable staff. if just one person had phoned the gate and told them to hold for a passenger, I could have made my connection. Communication and efficiency is beyond horrific by the Chinese airlines. Its like living in the stone ages."

The airport staff and other passengers in Guangzhou were the rudest people I have ever encountered. I wish I could write a review about airport."

On my way there, there were 2 women involved in heated verbal altercation ( although I do not understand Chinese but their tone of voice and body language speak for itself ). The stewardess did not do anything to defuse the situation. It took another passenger to offer to switch seat with one of the woman. Then came a toddler crying all the way to China. The horrible part of the thailand flight was that I was not being inform in San Francisco that I had to pick up my luggage , check in to get my boarding pass and then go through custom again. I know I should not be complaining considering the cheap fare, but I still expected a little more from this airline."

Twenty hours of traveling with no food on 3 flights and waiting in long lines at customs with not enough layover time and no food is absolutely miserable. Also the boarding process at Bangkok is terrible. There are too many people pushing and shoving through lines and cutting lines, it was the worst I have ever seen at any airport I have ever been to. My bag was also lost somewhere between Bangkok and my first layover. Luckily SFO helped me to recover it."

I also was on a full flight PVG-ORD and the crew had not checked my seat prior to the flight. Someone had jammed the head phone jack and the entire flight, I was unable to enjoy in-flight entertainment, which isn't much on China Eastern. I am an easy traveler. I do it often and efficiently for work. This trip was the longest and least enjoyable due to the airline. I will pay extra as to not book again with China Eastern. Also, the rules on the airline are quite odd. I got yelled at by a crew member because I used my phone to access a screen shot with information regarding my stay in Thailand to fill out the Customs Form. Though my phone was on airplane mode and I simply viewed a photo."

  Instead of the flight attendants talking to each other they should have been monitoring the passengers. The person beside me took a phone call literally 30 seconds before the plane landed. As we were going down the runway ( from landing ) a person in the row in front of me and behind me made phone calls; CRAZY

I could go into detail but now I’m just ranting. Not happy. Won’t be doing that again."

As we hit the gate, she chased us down to yet again, say he couldn't board because of the same reason. She told him when he got back to Hyderabad that he would be charged as a criminal & be held in a cell all alone without a way to commicate to others. It was absolutely absurd!! We made it back to Hyderabad and like we knew the whole time, his VISA was fine."
