Purchased additional baggage and the flight was canceled due to covid. When they rebooked us they didn’t carry over the extra baggage. They wanted to charge 3x the original ticket price for “added” weight… 6000 bhat for an additional 15kilo (which would of been easily covered by what we originally booked) took nearly 2 hours to work out and they only let us check in minutes before our flight boarded. Very unhappy.

I had to pay the high price because I had no other way to get my bag to Phuket. Afterwards someone I met told me that the price for the Westerners is always higher but three times the price is outrageous and I will never fly with that airline again."

Also, they required everyone to turn all electronic devices completely off during take-off, ascent, descent, and landing. They wouldn't allow you to use them even in airplane mode for some reason, despite most other airlines worldwide allowing airplane mode throughout the entire flight."

When I booked, I must have put the ticket under Susie instead of Susanne and despite showing her my passport she said I was going to be charged 800 baht to fix my name. It took two separate supervisors for them to realize that the passport number I booked with was in fact the same passport number I was presenting to them. I also wanted to check a piece of luggage and had to go to a different counter, waiting on another line to pay for the luggage. Not one person explained that upon landing in Bangkok for my layover that I would need to take my luggage off of the carousel and then repeat the process I did at the Chiang Mai Airport. It baffles me that they have no organization because prior to getting up to the counter, 4 people were clearly unhappy with the customer service. I would not recommend this airline company to anyone, in fact I would advise that people wouldn’t use it."

A small bottle of water was provided on the flight. No complaints. I have travelled with regional airlines and discount airlines in other parts of the world and would have to say that the experience with Nok Air was superior."

Also, this was our connecting flight - one in the middle of three flights going back to LA. For some reason, the gate attendant decided to have issues with my wife's passport, ticket, and greencard. All were valid. We bought the tickets and were in the middle of the flight, so it was late for any questions..... Took them awhile to determine that the greencard was really none of their business since we were flying through china and into the US on another airline. Luckily we were able to get on the plane before it left. Seems like the gate agents need better training on this."

They refused to give us anything which I thought was cold hearted as I was vomiting and very uncomfortable. Also, the policy to shut down all electronics for take off and landing is so silly. I’m an anxious flyer and I was not told on some air Asia flights to shut it off. Couldn’t understand why the same airline would force me to shut it off on my flight out of Bangkok."

Check-infamily with just computers is terrible, didn't worked properly. Included food in package but can't choose, both legs the same food. Baggage damaged. Long walk in DMK to transfer, inefficient. Overall just a shitty experience!"

ข้อเสีย: "Flight 502 from BKK to HKG was changed from Boarding Gate 1 to 3 in Don Muang at a time when the previous flight at Boarding Gate 3 has NOT YET started boarding. A huge crowd from BG1 flooded to BG3 when the flight to Wuhan, China has not yet started boarding. It was 15 minutes before scheduled boarding (15:55) and a long line already formed at BG1. Those in line have to move to BG3 and have to line up all over again. We waited for at least 30 mins before the Wuhan flight finished boarding at BG3. The line was ill-formed and many Chinese tourists pushed their way through disregarding the line. Air Asia should have deferred the announcement of boarding gate change for the HKG flight until the Wuhan flight has completed boarding. This was a poor handling of boarding."

This cost us £147 at check in which was a shock.This hasn’t happened with Hong Kong Airlines previously. I think either your website or Air Asia’s need a block when booking return flights so you include baggage for both sectors.This would avoid the shock and excessive cost at check in."

After reading the confirmation email also saw nothing about it, only some ambiguous message about checking with the airline. THIS IS IMPORTANT! WHY WOULD YOU NOT MENTION IT AT SOME POINT. If I need to go to the airline to "check" that YOU didn't forget to tell me something then what the hell is the point of using your service?! I had to pay 144 dollars, more than a single ticket!"

ข้อเสีย: "The 7kg weight allowance is ridiculous, it's a clear ploy to grab more money for add-ons, when it should be considered below the minimum amount a reasonable one-bag traveller would bring with them. If you add a laptop, you get a free additional 3kg. Can someone please explain the logic of that? The airplane cabin was freezing cold the whole flight, colder than the older, smaller plane I took on the previous flight. If the Boeing 777 is so advanced, why is the atmosphere less comfortable? To add insult to injury, I was unable to bring adequate warm clothes for my flight to a tropical destination because of the low weight allowance. Lightweight travelers don't want to check bags because of the additional hassle and potential for lost luggage (not to mention the fees). They wear backpacks small enough to fit into the overhead compartment, but getting under the ridiculous 6kg limit means eliminating anything extraneous. 9 or 10kg is more reasonable."
